The fifth edition of Primavera Pro Startups, a joint initiative by Primavera Pro and Seed&Click to back startups linked to the music sector, launches its international quest for this year’s winning project. The registration period will be open until the 20^th April, after this date a jury of experts will choose five finalists who will have the opportunity to present their projects at the International Investment Forum Primavera Pro Startups 2018, on May 31^st at the CCCB, as an integral part of Primavera Pro 2018. Business projects from all around the world linked to the music sector can apply, as long as they are legally constituted and already have, at least, a beta version of their product and/or service.

The finalists will have a networking area in which to connect with assistants, investors, international press and important players from the music industry around the world. And that’s not all: during the competition of startups you will be able to enjoy two keynotes and a roundtable on the impact of blockchain technology and its disruptive appearance in different sectors of the industry, all of this with the participation of national and international experts currently focused on developing value within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

AWith the same objective in mind, Primavera Pro Startups will present this year’s winning project with a prize to the value of 120,000€, made up of different services and benefits offered by leading companies in their sector. Among them it is worth mentioning the global advertising agency McCann Worldgroup that will develop a communication strategy for the winning startup. The international law firm Baker & McKenzie that will offer a consultancy package on commercial, fiscal, labour, intellectual property rights, suits and data protection amongst other areas. The national newspaper La Vanguardia will publish an interview together with a press release via their different media channels and finally, Amazon Web Services will offer to the winner the benefits of their prestigious AWS Activate Portfolio Program including AWS Promotional Credit for all AWS Services for 2 years, Support credit for 1 year, AWS Business Essentials Online Training, AWS Technical Essentials Online Training and 80 credits for self-paced labs. All that services has been created to help startups in their path to success and gives acces to guidance and time with AWS experts. 4YFN, one of the best known startup programmes on the international scene set up by the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, will offer tickets for the 2019 edition of the event and a space for the winning project to give their pitch to visitors and investors, as well as tickets for the 4YFN 2019 for all the finalists. Berklee College of Music will give access to the winning startup to a 3-week module running from June 25th - July 13th, in the Valencia campus which will focus on the management of tech-driven business and the legal aspects of the music industry. ESADECreapolis will offer to the winner their complete Startup Pack providing privileged access to their investors network, forums and activities and media outreach. Finally, Future Music Forum, one of the most vibrant events of the music industry in Barcelona will offer to the winning startup the chance to pitch at their startup contest final on September 2018.

The winning initiative last year was Uberchord, a startup founded in Berlin and centred on taking guitar learning to the next level. The app listens to the user play, adapts to their needs and gives feedback and personalized advice.

Primavera Pro 2018 will take place from 30^th May to 3^rd June in Barcelona, in parallel to Primavera Sound, transforming Barcelona into the international meeting point of the music industry to which all the finalists will be invited!
